Weekly Message from Mrs. Yates: Our 3rd and 4th grade students will be taking their EOG's this Friday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 31st. If you are planning on going out of town for the Memorial Day Holiday, please allow your child to take their test on Friday morning, if at all possible. They will have to take a make-up test, and students tend to test better with their peers. We will be providing breakfast for our 3rd and 4th grade students prior to the Reading and Math EOG in the cafeteria at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 31st. We want our students to have a more relaxed start to their day by being able to visit with their friends and provide them with a more substantial breakfast. Please make sure that students are well rested and on time for both of these days. They will not be allowed to enter the classroom once testing has begun. We still have several coats and jackets that have not been claimed. If your child is missing a clothing item, please have them check the lost and found bin in the lobby.

From our PTO: PTO will be hosting a holiday store December 5th through the 10th, during school hours, for the students to shop for their friends and family members. Gifts will range from $.25 to $12 a piece. You will be receiving a flyer soon along with an envelope to help you budget with your child for how much they should spend on each person. If sending money for the holiday store is not something that you feel your family can afford at this time, there will be an opportunity for all kids to shop regardless of whether or not they have money. In the past, the children have really found this to be a fun way for them to independently shop for their family members. They will then get to come home with wrapped presents to gift during the holidays.
