Welcome to Hominy Valley Elementary School!

This is always an exciting time as we wind down from the summer and prepare for a new school year.  Whether you are a returning parent or a new one, the PTO would like to officially welcome you to Hominy Valley Elementary (HVE) and to the 2023-24 school year!  We have an incredible group of teachers and staff, and a wonderful group of parent volunteers.  You will love being a part of HVE!  The PTO has a lot of great things planned and would love your help and involvement.

What does the PTO do? 
The PTO meets every month on the 2nd Tuesday at 3:00pm in the Media Center. These meetings are an opportunity to meet other parents and discuss a variety of topics such as: What do teachers need more help with, planning for upcoming events, and how the PTO can help to support the school’s initiatives.

We are a 501(c)(3) group which allows the PTO to collect funds that are redirected back to support the school, staff and our children.

The PTO can help plan, coordinate and volunteer at fundraising events, school & staff appreciations, and family events that help to foster and create community within Hominy Valley. 

What can you do?
Please consider joining the PTO! We love volunteers and can never have too many.  The ways you can help are not limited to monthly PTO meetings or volunteering at events. By signing up to be a member of PTO, you are NOT signing up to a black hole of volunteerism.  We respect your time and appreciate any way that you can help!

Please consider signing up for the following ways to give back to HVE:

-Tools for Schools: Please link your Ingles Advantage Card to Hominy Valley School (this must be done at the start of each school year) -www.ingles-markets.com 

-Present your card and ask the Cashier to link the card to Hominy Valley Elementary 

-Box Tops for Education Program: Download the app onto your phone and scan your receipts. Select Hominy Valley to receive the funds. No more cutting box tops and bringing them to school!

  • -The app is in Apple App Store and Google Play (select Hominy Valley Elementary-28715)

-Rent the Rock

The Jet Rock is up and running for rental. Our website is live and the rock is ready for rental.  Thank you, again, to Vulcan and Crane & Rigging Companies for all of your generosity in donating, delivering and securing the rock!!!  Feel free to rent the rock to celebrate students, teachers or staff members on birthdays, sporting events or other special occasions.
