Dear Hominy Valley Elementary Families,
I look forward to another great year as principal of Hominy Valley Elementary. I bring a strong commitment to continue the long tradition that Hominy Valley has established in providing an excellent education for each of its children. I am honored to be a part of this dedicated staff and supportive community.
I have lived in the Enka district all of my life and am a proud graduate of Enka High School. I am married with two adult children and a sweet dog named Leroy. After graduating Western Carolina University, I began my teaching career in Buncombe County Schools at Emma Elementary School. I then taught at Candler Elementary as both a classroom teacher and Title One Reading Specialist. While there I obtained my National Boards in Reading and a Master’s in Executive leadership from Gardner Webb University. I served as assistant principal at Leicester Elementary, Oakley Elementary, and Enka Intermediate. I then served as principal of Oakley Elementary before coming to Hominy Valley Elementary.
I am enjoy serving the students and families of the Hominy Valley Community! Please do not hesitate to call or email with any questions or concerns you may have during the year.
