We are excited to start our One School One Book community reading experience by reading the book, The World According to Humphrey,  by Betty G. Birney. This is a shared reading experience that builds school community.

The PTO has purchased a book for each child. The book belongs to the student. They may write in them and take notes. Students will keep their books at the end. 

We want to build enthusiasm and promote school/home collaboration as we read and participate in fun activities centered around one book. We will send out a reading schedule. This is intended to be a shared reading experience, so we encourage you to read to and with your child. 

We will begin the book and activities Monday, February 10th.  To culminate our One School One Book event, we will welcome musical storyteller, Jennifer Armstrong, who has created a musical story for us on The World According to Humphrey. All families are invited to attend with their child(ren) to this exciting event. Grades 3-4 will attend her session on March 6th from 10:15-11:00. Grades K-2 will attend from 11:30-12:15. An official invitation will be shared with you closer to the time.
