The Buncombe County Schools Board of Education is committed to providing a safe, inviting, and civil educational environment for all students, employees, and other members of the school community. The Board expects all students, employees, volunteers, and visitors to behave in a manner consistent with that goal. The Board recognizes that bullying and harassing behavior creates an atmosphere of intimidation and fear, detracts from the safe environment necessary for student learning, and may lead to more serious misconduct or to violence. Accordingly, the Board prohibits all forms of bullying and harassing behavior, including encouragement of such behavior, by students, employees, volunteers, and visitors. Weekly Message from Mrs. Yates: Our 3rd and 4th grade students will be taking their Math EOG this coming Wednesday, May 31st. If students are absent, they will have to take a make-up test, and students tend to test better with their peers. We will be providing breakfast again for our 3rd and 4th grade students prior to the Math EOG on Wednesday, May 31st in the cafeteria. We want our students to have a more relaxed start to their day by being able to visit with their friends and provide them with a more substantial breakfast. Please make sure that students are well rested and on time on Wednesday. They will not be allowed to enter the classroom once testing has begun. We still have several coats and jackets that have not been claimed. If your child is missing a clothing item, please have them check the lost and found bin in the lobby.
