The seniors loved revisiting their elementary school campus, reconnecting with former teachers, and remembering the memories they made at Woodfin years ago.
Seeing these graduates walk the halls in their caps and gowns also meant so much to our current Woodfin wolverines. Friday's senior walk was inspiring and exciting for everyone ; a powerful reminder that with hard work and determination, you can achieve your goals!
We are so proud of these Erwin High graduates and wish them all the best in the exciting journey ahead!

The care, dedication, and support that the Woodfin Police Department show to our students mean more than words can express. From helping keep our campus safe, to building positive relationships with students, to stepping in with kindness, encouragement, and guidance when needed they make a lasting impact on our school family every single day.
Our students look up to the Woodfin Police officers as helpers, protectors, mentors, and role models. We would be remiss not to give an extra special thank you to Officer Holden, our Woodfin Elementary School SRO! Whether she is greeting students in the morning, supporting during school events, helping teach safety lessons, or simply taking the time to connect with children, her presence brings comfort and care to our school.
To all of the officers at the Woodfin Police Department, thank you for the sacrifices you make and the countless ways you support our students, staff, and whole community. Woodfin Elementary School is deeply grateful for you ; and especially thankful for the positive difference Officer Holden makes every day.

We are also incredibly thankful for our custodial staff, whose hard work behind the scenes keeps our school clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. Welcome back Mr.Randy and a special thank you to Mrs. Natalia over the last few months for going above and beyond to keep everything exceptional. Their dedication and care for our building help create an environment where students and staff can thrive each day.
Each staff member plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where students can learn and grow. Their kindness, commitment, and daily acts of service do not go unnoticed. We are deeply thankful for the heart, passion, and care they bring to our Wolverine community every single day.

They stay late, show up early, cheer students on through challenges, celebrate successes big and small, and create classrooms filled with learning, kindness, and care. The impact they make reaches far beyond the walls of our school.
Our teachers are role models, encouragers, problem-solvers, and champions for children every day. We are so incredibly thankful for the dedication, patience, compassion, and love they give so freely to our students and school community. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Every single day, they go above and beyond to support our students with kindness, care, and dedication. Making sure students are fed and nourished is such an important part of student success, and our cafeteria team does so much more than serve meals — they serve smiles, encouragement, and love.
Thank you for the early mornings, hard work, and caring hearts you bring to our school each day. We appreciate all you do to help our students learn, grow, and thrive! 💙🍽️✨

Nurse Meredith, your dedication to every student and family does not go unnoticed. You go above and beyond each day to ensure our students feel safe, cared for, and supported. From comforting worried children to helping families navigate challenges, your compassion and commitment make a lasting difference in the lives of so many.
Thank you for the countless ways you serve our school community with kindness, patience, and heart. We are so grateful for all that you do each and every day! 🩺🍎✨

Good morning, BCS families.
Our Transportation crews have continued to monitor travel conditions this morning. Due to deteriorating travel conditions and the number of secondary roads impacted by snow and ice, for the safety of our bus riders, teen drivers, parents, and staff members, all Buncombe County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, March 17, 2026. It will be an Optional Teacher Workday. Students will not participate in remote learning.
Please stay safe, and have a good day.

Good morning, BCS Families.
Our BCS Transportation teams have been out early this morning monitoring travel conditions. Due to snowfall through the night impacting travel on secondary roads all across the county, Buncombe County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students today, Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Buses will not travel on icy roads. This delayed start will give DOT crews extra time to treat any problem areas, and allow for travel with more daylight.
Breakfast will be served to students when they arrive at school.
While conditions are forecast to improve, BCS Transportation teams will continue to assess conditions. We will update you should we need to further alter today’s school schedule.
Thank you. Have a good day!
Gracias. ¡Que tengan un buen día!
