FBLA is a nonprofit education association preparing students for careers in business and business-related fields. FBLA's mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. 

Q&A:

  • *Who can join? Any 9-12 graders interested in pursuing a business career or who wants to be more prepared for their professional career.

  • *When do we meet? The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in the business classrooms, at 7:40 AM.

  • *What does it cost? State dues are $6, National dues are $6 and additional costs from optional conferences and competitions. (Additional costs may be offset by fund-raising)

  • *What can I gain from joining FBLA? Learn & Compete, attend conferences, seminars, institutes and receive quarterly ideas through FBLA publications. Active membership looks great on a college application and on your personal resume!

  • *Who is eligible for competition? Any 9-12 grader can join, but to compete you must have a business or marketing class during that school year.

FBLA Goals:

  • Develop competent, aggressive business leadership.

  • Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work.

  • Create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise.

  • Encourage members in the development of individual projects that contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community. 

  • Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism.

  • Encourage and practice efficient money management.

  • Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty.

  • Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals.

  • Facilitate the transition from school to work.
