Hominy Valley Elementary
Welcome to Fourth Grade!
I feel very fortunate to be working at Hominy Valley Elementary. I taught third grade when
the school opened in 2000 and moved to 4th grade several years ago. Prior to that, I
worked with second grade children at Candler Elementary. I also have experience teaching first grade and second grade in Virginia.
I am a Virginia girl at heart and attended college there. I graduated summa cum laude
with honors in education in 1988 and started my teaching career in Mecklenburg County,
Virginia. I relocated to Asheville in 1990. 
A personal goal has always been to get my Master of Arts degree. I completed my thesis
and GRADUATED on December 13, 2008. YEAH !
THANK YOU for sharing your children with me. I hope to foster a desire for life-long
learning.
