My entire life has been and still is about school! No Joke!
My parents worked at the high school I attended. My father was a football coach and my mother worked in the office. So I was either going to school, coming home from school, attending school, and now … I work at school.
I began my career in education as a teacher’s assistant at an elementary school in Haywood County. In addition, I went back to school in order to follow my passion, which is working with children that have exceptional abilities. After I graduated with my degree in Special Education, I taught high school for 12 years. During the 2012 -2013 school year, I transitioned from the classroom and worked as an Exceptional Children Curriculum Specialist for Buncombe County Schools. I am currently working as the Assistant Principal for both WD Williams and Hominy Valley Elementary Schools.
I am married to Jason Moody who is a retired police officer. We have one beautiful daughter, Madison. When we are not at work, we love to travel to Wyoming, go camping and/or attend football games.
As a member of Hominy Valley and WD Williams, I will work diligently to support and encourage our teachers, empower our children, and support our community.
